I'm a student at California Polytechnic State University (in San Luis Obispo) studying Human Resource Management. As a member and Vice President of my local SHRM student chapter, I stay active in the HR community. I'm Currently working as an HR Generalist Intern in the bay area at the unified communications company Polycom. My job has lead me to become a social media enthusiast, and I'm very interested in how social media is going to change the way employees interact with their organization. I believe this change has positive impacts for recruiting, hiring, training and development, performance management, employee relations, and job design. I'm passionate about HR's role as a strategic partner to align an organization's goals to it's most valuable resource, people!
Aside from my professional interests, I am a healthy living aficionado, and I like to swim, ski, and take yoga classes at a studio in town. I also enjoy cooking and finding new unique restaurants. I have always had a passion for music and singing, and enjoy going to concerts and shows. Living on the Central Coast has given me a love for the beach, shopping, and wine tasting!
